The Futures We Leave Behind
I love mathematics, and I’m fascinated by quantum physics. I get fascinated with things in this world, some are compelling; others are just impossible to ignore.
I do a bit of looking around. At times, I look behind us, and I see all the impossible futures melting in the field density probabilities of quantum physics.
When I look ahead of us, I see entanglements and singularities.
Here they are just metaphors; in physics these are real things. I submit to you that sometimes futures are real things. We have seen them fade, right in the rearview mirror, over the past few days.
Sometimes futures grow and prosper unpredictably.
Sometimes we may be able to recognize these melting features are disintegrating before our eyes because they are impossible or improbable or invisible or frankly, likely.
All we can do is watch some fade and try to get a grasp of how to continue shaping the future.
Better, brighter futures and good things.
It gives us purpose. It gives us strength.
Better, together.
