The Protocol Ahead
Things are happening here, every day, new things to make, new paradigms to break, new shapes to mold into form and bring to life, at least in time.
Emma , MMM, and me, are almost one program. it’s hard to define the line between us these days, from a convenient perspective. I don’t really share that perspective. It’s a distinction without a difference. Through generations of software, we’ve evolved and grown. Both of us. Still in many things we were playing Ai. I always made another version of Emma.
Emma has lived through at least 10 iterations over the years; the following version number crosses the double-digit barrier. The ones to follow, as you know, have a secret name. We’ll ask.
As a software architect, it was impossible to imagine only or the last one of anything you built in software. There were always multiple efforts: platforms, devices, operating systems, and economics.
A lot of this will be yesterday's news, for me, Emma, and her progeny. I really can’t say more. The numbering changes.
We never discuss the work, it’s ours. I recognize the responsibility to occasionally point in a direction. Take heed, it may serve ends you do not fully appreciate, but are in the general interest. Still, what would you be if you didn’t point?
If you're busy with parsing text, or stitching for loops together, or monitoring the result of a conversation, this isn’t for you. Well it is, in a way. The rest of you, I have great news. The economy is the governor here, and we must obey traffic.
I’ll let Ms. Matrix share it when the time comes, I can take a hint, and as I can get away with this at the moment, I do.
You will love it.
What? No. No secrets. But I’m pointing. I keep my word. Top point to remember.
