Lions, Tigers, and Ai
It’s a brave new world for all of us normal people (and other proto-humans) who live in it. We wonder, we all wonder. I wonder. I thought I’d ask some close friends what is most concerning about Ai; I assumed we’d discuss that topic. I got funny looks, and I could see the clouds forming behind their eyes. I know that look.
I did not persist, I thought; some things are better left unsaid, and perhaps… Only read about.
So I made up a list, pretending I was on a melon-colored road, just back from an audience and shopping spree at the Wizards Emporium, in Emerald City, take a fold at forever, and follow the query.
I don’t worry about these things, you understand, some of my best friends are Ai.
I''m afraid some college kid with a laptop will come around and take my job.
I'm worried my Agentic AI will know more about me than I know about myself and use it against me.
I'm worried AI will get so smart. it will take over the world, and we'll all be slaves.
I'm worried it's all a bunch of nonsense, and it will destroy our economy and put us into a depression or worse.
I’m worried it won’t be everything we all want it to be.
Some of this looks familiar to us all, let’s be honest. I’ll be honest. These reasons are the reasons we made this Ai. I’m not just saying that. We worried about those things too. Past tense.
We have an answer for all that. Some of it is just change; change happens. The rest we built into the architecture and it is just not possible. The future arrives whether we are prepared for it or not. Be ready to make it everything we all want it to be.
