Brave New Citizen

It is possible that to recall the date that is an emergency is to relive it.

Even though it’s not an emergency anymore, it still feels like one. Right now in our lives we seem to have a lot of emergencies. As if for a want of an end to emergencies, we could take measures which we otherwise would not choose.

Of course this is our fear. Histories tell us we’ve been here before.

We have nothing to fear, but to fear ourselves, and this is our fear.

I don’t think FDR will mind.. Maybe a little.

We have in faith in America. There is good in America. There is free will in America.

As long as these things are true; we have little to fear.

Be brave, citizen.
